15 guest countries, over 30 concerts et after hours jam sessions, 10 different sites 12 workshop, over 20,000 visitors
Port–au-Prince, August 16th 2015 – This coming January will be the 10th anniversary of the PAPJAZZ: The Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival and for this special edition, the festival will host over 30 performances from 15 guest countries: Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, Spain and Switzerland. This year, Brazil is making its come back along with Dominican Republic and new countries such as Cuba and Panama will also be represented. The PAPJAZZ is a recurring occasion to admire Jazz stars and to discover international bands, Haitian names, rising stars, creole jazz made in Haïti, the counties’ music and cultural diversity and to visit this unique Caribbean island.
The organizers are already confirming American saxophone star Kenny Garrett and his quintet, the iconic Canadian pianist Oliver Jones and the magnificent pianist and singer Eliane Elias from Brazil.
