Internationally known for his performance in New York for the United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, professional saxophonist, Otis, continues to make a lasting impact in the world of Jazz Fusion. Over the course of his musical career, Otis has journeyed from his native country of Mozambique, across five continents, to countries such as Hong Kong, Madagascar, Brazil and Portugal where he currently resides. While doing so, he has collaborated with artists such as Paulo de Carvalho, Miguel & André, João Portugal and Beto.
The breadth and depth of this diverse exposure continues to be reflected in his eighth album entitled ‘Caminhos’ (Paths). In this twelve songs album, Otis combines musical styles by adding the saxophone to ethnic sounds from the Caribbean, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, India and Portugal.
