Specialized Investment Opportunities for Smart Business
Invest Saint Lucia (ISL) will organize and host the inaugural Saint Lucia Investment Forum (SLIF) slated for May 5th and 6th, 2014 at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort.
One of the major objectives of hosting the Saint Lucia Investment Forum (SLIF2014) is to give Saint Lucia greater visibility on the FDI map. In that context, the scope of the SLIF will be entirely focused on promoting targeted investment and business opportunities on Saint Lucia, to the international business community.
It is anticipated that the SLIF will bring a significant delegation of high net worth international investors, business leaders, international media, investment consultants and key strategic partners to meet and discuss investment projects and opportunities in Saint Lucia as well as provide a medium for networking with potential investment partners.
The SLIF2014, which will be held biennially, is envisioned as the signature event that will bring together business leaders, chief executives and decision-makers from internationally expanding companies, the domestic private sector and policy makers to network and forge lasting relationships. As a result, Invest Saint Lucia expects the SLIF to:
- Raise the profile of Saint Lucia as a business and investment destination;
- Positively impact on lead generation and catalyze investment generation;
- Improve investor perception of Saint Lucia;
- Increase the quantum of FDI in the short to medium term into the strategic sectors.
This two-day event is being organized by Invest Saint Lucia along with the Ministries of Finance, Economic Affairs and Social Security, Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs, as well as the Trade Export Promotion Agency, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board and the Private Sector Council of Saint Lucia.
