(Baton Rouge, LA) – Visit Baton Rouge has renewed their accreditation from the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP). DMAP is an international accreditation program developed by the Washington, DC based Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI). In maintaining DMAP accreditation, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) communicate to their community, buyers and potential visitors that their DMO has continued to demonstrate a significant measure of excellence in destination management and marketing.

The mission of Visit Baton Rouge is to increase visitation to and awareness of the Baton Rouge Area, therefore enhancing economic impact. The staff work in areas of administration, destination sales and services, marketing, communications, and special projects. The organization also works in partnership with the Baton Rouge Film Commission and Baton Rouge Sports Foundation.
DMAP accreditation standards cover a wide variety of topics including governance, finance, management, human resources, technology, visitor services, group services, sales, communications, membership, brand management, destination development, research/market intelligence, innovation and stakeholder relationships.
