Le Grand Boucan (un) spins Perfect Love
The time for Grand Boucan has come! The seaside resort of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains will vibrate under the rhythm of the fleets of the great carnival of Reunion Island. You are invited to dress up and dance to celebrate, in joy and good humor, King Dodo.
For several months, the Pôle Sud company has been preparing for this large-scale event which will take place on Sunday, June 14. Tanks and disguises now only require a few adjustments before they are revealed to you.
An event to be enjoyed with your head in the stars and your feet in the sand!
This 19th edition will take place in the rue du Général de Gaulle in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains and on the Roches Noires esplanade, from 2.15 p.m. About ten floats and twenty associations will take part in the parade with, at the head of the procession, the ephemeral King Dodo. This year, he will rise to nearly nine meters in height, from where he will dominate his subjects. From 6.30 p.m., King Dodo will head to Brisants beach where he will be burned, according to custom, around 8 p.m. A fireworks display will follow as well as outdoor musical entertainment from 8:30 p.m .:
